What is Love? Baby don’t hurt me! What the “L” in PLUR is not.

(This blog might shatter your belief in what Love is by describing what Love is not.) What we think as loving is often the exact opposite. There are many attributes believed to be part of Love creating an ambivalence about its actual meaning.

Love and the body

Love will automatically enter once acts of false love have been removed. Love has absolutely nothing to do with the body, the body is a hindrance to experiencing true Love. Love is in the mind and in the mind only. Sex in most cases really is the acting out of a certain kind of fear and has nothing to do with Love. Love does not judge it, but has no part in physical relationships. The body is a fence we have built to protect and conceal our real identity in which we are One. Oneness is hard to keep when we perceive or mis-perceive ourselves in different bodies. This can be easily realized when being in the NOW in which no body is experienced, in fact it is the opposite, freedom is being present without the body. The body has become the symbol of separation. Look around you, nothing is attached to another. The body is a fence! Do not forget this!

Love in Music

A simple Spotify search on “Love is” reveals that Love is defined in many ways, which really makes Love something to run away from rather than to embrace. The search was unfiltered, therefore touching all music genres. The song titles themselves reveal attributes assigned to Love that are in part extremely unloving. You will see:

  1. Lyrics that mix up love and hate
  2. Lyrics with false attributes of love
  3. Uncertainty of what love is
  4. Love is expressed as the ultimate
  5. The lyric describes the function and attributes of Love

The list of examples is very long. Let us start with examples of songs that attach unloving attributes to Love, pointing to Love as something to be avoided, at all cost, unless of course, war, chaos, and death are cherished as worthwhile undertakings.

Song Title Artist Genre Attributes
baby don’t hurt me Dimitri Vegas / Haddaway / Lost Frequencies Euro, House Love includes Pain
Love is Darkness Sander van Doorn Electro House Love and hate is the same
Love is a battlefield Pat Benatar Classic Rock Love includes War
Love Hurts Nazareth Classic Rock Love includes Pain
Love is a losing game Amy Winehouse Pop Love is a game
How Deep is your Love Calvin Harris Pop Love has degrees
Love is my Game Dr. Kucho Deep House Love is a game
Love is a War American Youth Folk Love = Killing
Love is Blindness Jack White Love is blind
Love is to die Warpaint Love = Death
Love is in Beauty and Chaos This Patch of Sky

Love has elements of Chaos
Love is not enough Yelawolf There is more than Love

Above examples show that Love is frail, associated with pain, creates chaos, a game to be played and a war to be led. Love and hate are closely related in these songs. The spotify search of “Love is” displayed twenty song titles, of which fifteen or almost 80% compared Love with completely unloving attributes.

Here is a very simple experiment: Exchange the above song titles with different nouns than Love, and let us see how these titles change their meaning if at all:

Love is Darkness Sander van Doorn War is darkness
Love is a battlefield Pat Benatar War is a battlefield
Love Hurts Nazareth Hate hurts
Love is a losing game Amy Winehouse War / Hate is a losing game
Love is my Game Dr. Kucho Hate is my game
Love is a War American Youth Hate is a War
Love is Blindness Jack White War/Hate is Blindness
Love is to die Warpaint War/Hate is to die

What is being said is that there is no difference between Love and Hate, Love and War. Why being so drastic using the word hate? What is not love must be based on its seeming opposite which is Fear, with hating (disliking, being suspicious, distrusting etc.) being an outcome of fear.

In between the rejection and the embracing of Love we will find songs that are asking what love is.   3LAU is asking the question if what he feels is love? Bob Marley is equally unsure about what Love is.  Kesha can actually define Love as being a drug, and many others agree.  The exact title “Love is a drug” (1) returns 23 different songs from 23 different artists, while “Love is Like a drug” (2) can be found more than 10 times.

The world is upside down, says Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike together with Fedde LeGrand in the “Tales of Tomorrow” and so is the understanding of what Love is. The number of songs that were written about the topic of Love cannot be easily counted.

Here are some added statistics about the usage of the word “love” in lyrics. A detailed analysis of lyrics and love from 60s,70s,80s songs compared to today’s Electronic Dance Music is discussed in a later chapter. It does not come as a surprise to us that many lyrics of EDM songs written by this generation have not only a much more loving content, but also reflect a spiritual understanding that leap frogs the older generation, particularly the baby boomers.

The Beatles used the word Love 613 times in their songs but kept that Love is all we need, the King James Version of the Bible has Love noted less than 400 times, while new Bible translations use the word up to 550 times.

EDM artists like Martin Garrix uses the word Love 44 times in his few songs with lyrics which is 10% of how many times it used in the 1,300 pages of Bible, the ultimate source of the distorted picture of Love’s meaning by giving Love the attribute of fear and hate, which even justified the killing of innocent and all in the name of Love (Martin Garrix).

Love and Millennials

We have noticed though that more Millennials have a built-in knowing of their purpose here than any other generation, including the awareness that everything appears upside-down in this world, a world that is not our home and makes no sense.

There is a knowing of a connectedness that sometimes generate the feeling of Oneness (We are One, Disco Fries) that is often talked about, which we experience every time we are attending a live set, a festival or just do our nightly dance to a playlist. That is why we do it! This is what you came for J! (R3HAB Remix of Calvin Harris’ song).

What is experienced is a universal Love, a Love for all, a knowing that in this moment (Nic Chagall) , there are no problems, no issues, nothing but joy, unity and Love.

Is it Love? (3LAU)  It is Love! How do you compare the Love and unity experienced at festivals with the love for your partner, your family, your friends etc. Is there more than one love? No, there is just one Love and that Love really is far from the Love as the world defines it.

Love is not only all you need, Love is also the only state that we are to give to others if we want to be loved based on a universal “law” that Giving is Receiving.

Giving and Receiving

You always teach what and who you are. By giving and receiving Love you are teaching that you are Love. Demonstrate anything that is not loving and you are teaching the world something you are not and do not want to be.

To receive nothing else but Love, we must give nothing else but Love. In giving Love it is extended and increases, not on the outside but on your inside, while in the material world anything given away is now missing or lacking. With material objects, in the world of matter, mind is focused on the lack of resources which in turn creates the craving for possessions to fill this sense of lack. The simplest example is that if I have $5 and spend $2, I will have $3 left.

The act of giving material objects will, in a world of scarcity, always end up with inequality, a winner and a loser, someone with more and less. That is part of duality, we believe everything has an opposite and in between you find many shades of grey.

Love is Mental

Love is not material, it is mental. It is a thought which like every thought leads through its own conviction to an experience. Thoughts are ideas and ideas increase when given away without the perception of loss that occurs in the exchange of material things. If I tell you that you should pray when in need then I will not assume just because I shared my idea prayer that it will reduce the chance of my prayers being answered. The opposite is the case, the thought is strengthened and gains power.

Thoughts /ideas are extended through sharing. Very good examples of this are 12 step programs such as AA, NA etc. The idea that two alcoholics who want to stay sober and kept each other sober came to two people in Akron Ohio which thus created a worldwide organization that still today has the highest rate of success to remain sober despite all progress in medicine and psychology in the past 100 years.

What does that tell us? Two people who join in One intend create a “power surge” so strong that the idea can spread with wings.

Core Question: What is the intend? What is this for? Why?

Every action we perform in any situation has an underlying intent that is either loving or unloving. We all know the true intend of our actions although we all too often deny the true intend to ourselves and others.

But what is loving? There is a phrase called unconditional Love, but although it defines the conditions that would keep Love present, it does not mention any actions that are congruent with Love in contrast to those which we all label “unloving”. A parent might say: “This hurts me more than you”, as the person slaps the child because it has “misbehaved” believing that the attack upon her son is justified and loving. What the child will learn to associate love with pain. There are thousands of daily interactions in which we associate love with feelings that are unloving, anger, pain, shame, guilt, remorse, pain, and our mind just accepts that love is incomplete, not perfect, and not loving.

It is easy to find acts that are very unloving. Shooting someone in the head is not loving.

Consider that the Love we talk about is unconditional and has nothing in it that is not loving, ie. Pain, sacrifice, attack, blame…

All these attributes are not part of Love. Unconditional Love is absolute and has no true opposite.

Conflict splits the NOW

Love accepts because it only seeks and find its own. Love does not judge. All judgment occurs in the present.  However, the present was made to enjoy, not to judge.

Oneness or the sense of unity is lost when judgment has occurred, and so is Love. The NOW appears to have been cut into two seeming opposing parts, into good and bad, a separated state out of which conflict must arise.

Conflict resolutions requires a decision. The decision process interrupts the awareness of Love that is only found in the NOW, which is also called joy.

The love mostly found in the world is anything but love, but its seeming counterpart which is called fear, not hate. Fear comes from uncertainty. The mind always strives for resolution and hence requires decisions to reduce uncertainty. In the material world decisions are always between something that is perceived better or worse than its alternative(s). This includes concessions, agreements we made with others including “loved” ones, because they are based on sacrifice and therefore are not loving.

Important to remember about the NOW:

  • The NOW runs through time
  • The NOW holds no future and no past (Linear time)
  • The NOW cuts through time by being available ALWAYS
  • The NOW never changes. There is no lack in the NOW and therefore there is no need to change the NOW
  • It is in the NOW that enables Love to flow freely and indiscriminately.
  • The Now is lost when any thoughts of judgements enter the mind.

Relationship Goals and Compromise

The love of the world is based on a need, which in turn is a belief in lack that something or someone else can fill in a person. If the other person fulfills that role, it may appear to be a very loving relationship, but if the lack is suddenly not covered up any longer because the other has changed behavior, then the love is over and problems enter. True Love does not know conflict, simply because conflict is separating (into different perceptions) which will make one perception true and the other ones false. This means conflicts always end in a winner and a loser, same applies for what is called a “compromise”, but if you look very closely into compromise you will find out that it also constitutes a loss or a sacrifice which again replaces Love with portions that are unloving.

Sacrifice is unloving

Sacrifice cannot be part of Love because sacrifice is based on a split identity: I am doing something I do not like for another person and that is unloving because it is the breeding ground of resentment, even if it is first perceived as small and minor.

If you do not want to do something but you do it for the other person grudgingly, then it cannot be Love as again, there is a winner and a current loser involved and Love knows no loss.

It is not loving to go grudgingly with your partner to an electronic dance festivals if you prefer to listen to the Mississippi Boys Choir. It is not loving to fill each other’s weak points if are ever held against each other. Love is not a weapon, neither is it a battlefield.

How many relationships have been broken off because aspects of the other are evaluated based on the fulfillment of one’s lacks and if these lacks are not covered any longer by a partner, the relationship suddenly becomes disturbing. It is impossible for Love to complete two parts that are depended to be filled by the other person. As long as a lack is perceived, Love cannot enter.

How many relationships are built on Love vs. love? Very few are Love based but this should be the goal of every relationship, true Love. True Love automatically brings Peace, it sets up Unity and has Respect / Acceptance of everything and everyone!  This is a true #plurlife, when nothing on the external is judged and only the good is perceived in everything and everyone.

Where do you start if you realize that your relationship still has friction as part of it? Look at what bugs you in the other and know that it is a part of you that you are judging. See the faults in others as pointing to your faults, being a love offering of the other, not an attack.

Accept Love because only by you accepting Love will you be able to give Love. You first must receive before you can give just like you must receive the keys for the car first before you can drive it.

How do we get from love to Love? Next blog. Keep coming back.

God is a DJ

When we first heard Faithless, “ God is a DJ, “ we had to contemplate the validity of this statement by simply measuring the consistent feelings of joy after an EDM show or festival.

Religious people are going to church on Sundays because they like to hear an upbeat message as well as mingling with like-minded believers. The congregation will sing a few songs, maybe a band is playing, and a pastor usually delivers a speech that will lift your emotions and carry you through the week. Church services caters to those who have the same or similar beliefs. Some people believe that the words of a preacher or priest have not only divine approval, but originate from a deity or an enlightened entity who is using the body of the human to communicate. Some churches have people running down the isles speaking in tongues, according to a sentence if the Christian New Testament (Acts 2:38), which means that the spirit of God has descended on the person who is now channeling God but in gibberish which of course, and no surprise here, only an elect group like the pastor himself, is allowed to translate into English.

“Channeling” is a term that became popular in the 1980s when metaphysics started to boom in preparation of the “harmonic conversion”. The Harmonic Convergence is the name given to one of the world’s first globally synchronized meditation events, which occurred on August 16–17, 1987. As per definition, channeling is a form of communication between humans and angelic beings, nature spirits, non-physical entities.

Having attended EDC twice now as well as several local 1-2 day festivals in the Phoenix area, having experienced the blissful states after a few drops of the dance set,  we can definitely see a very strong correlation between going to church and going to a festival or show. If you replace church with festival and pastor with DJ (lyrics with song), the congregation with PLUR folks, and consider the upbeat feelings we have after a festival, then there must be something in the music that has an impact like the channeled words of a pastor.

There are certain songs which trigger highly emotional states in us, laughter and sometimes tears. Some of the lyrics are as deep as that of old worship hymns but use modern language that people nowadays can actually comprehend. The messages of some of these songs are so deep, it makes us wonder how much the universe has pitched into the lyric content. Because of this generation’s deeper insight into the ‘universe’, the openness that is mentioned in songs such as “Open Heart” by Morgan Page could point to DJs who combines the words with a beautiful melody promoting a mental state of peace which cannot be shaken for days to come which has divine origin and support, what your divinity might be.

Our divinity is the experience of bliss itself during a set. We believe a universal religion or belief system is impossible on this planet, but a universal experience of joy, peace and happiness is not only possible but a must to get Earth back on track.

The importance of music in Religion and Mysticism

Certain classical music (Bach, Mozart, Beethoven etc., ) is referenced as having divine qualities through its ability to stir up emotions. The reason for this is the length of the music allowing repetition to further infiltrate the mind. DJ sets, live sets or weekly podcasts, are at the minimum 60 minutes long, allowing the mind to expand its peace and joy. Frank Liszt wrote about the famous classical piece die Walküre: “Great works should be embraced by the entire body and soul, form and thought, spirit and life. One ought not carp at Wagner for his lengths – “It’s better to expand one’s scale to his than to trying to lower the music to one’s own frame of reference”. Listz was not religious.

Rabbi Abraham Abulafia (1240-1291), founder of ecstatic Kabbalah, describes the ecstatic experience as follows: “The proof that song indicates the degree of prophecy is that it is the way of song to make the heart happy by means of tune, as it is said: “And when the minstrel played, the spirit of the Lord came upon him” [2 Kings 3:15], for prophecy does not dwell in him [unless there is] joy. (1)

Kabbalists in the 15th century in Safed, up in the mountains away from the Sea of Galilee, were known to have vines on their hair, dressed in white robes and dancing to music every day for hours! The music brought such incredible feelings of joy that it had the ability to induce prophetic speech.

The best example we think is from the Christian New Testament called the Song of Songs. These verses are Love, the lover and the beloved, God sings to his son Christ, who in return sings a song of thanks back to the father, endless is the melody.

When looking at divine expressions revealed to mankind, it never came as Light, but rather as sound. In the beginning was The Word, and most of you have heard about the sacred OM sound for Buddhists, the Sufis in Islam that are dancing to a certain repetitive sound, closing their eyes and literally spin for  5 minutes, opening their eyes and are then able to walk straight.

Our  personal experience is that when given over to the NOW, the music, any thought that we send out which contains the request for a solution, is returned with ideas that would not have been easily thought of, but are brilliant. As soon as we depart from the Now, the set ends, the brilliant idea slowly fades from the mind with a loss of appeal from  its brilliance. This makes us think: Why do ever stop dancing?

We all are vibrating at certain frequencies, some of them lost (pun intended). We hear what we like and that becomes our favorite sub genre(s).

Cosmic EDM -Examples of lyrics not from this planet

For us, Cosmic EDM is inspired lyrics and music, transmitted through the DJ as a medium of higher communication, uplifting the audience to a state of bliss for days to come. These lyrics, combined with just the right combination of sounds, have the capacity to impact listeners to such a degree that allows Love to flow through them in a form of energy that is uplifting instead of separating.

Here are some examples of deep lyrics:

Cosmic Gate: Going Home

We’ve been searching for so long,
To find the place where we could belong,
we always dreamed of better things to come
and turned our faces towards the sun,
we follow the light that we see in the dark,
keep on going till it catches spark,
I believe there’s a change to come,
we never know if we never run
And all signs are surfacing now again on your mind more

Don’t turn around we’re going one way,
the time is right we’re going home,
And now you’re in my mind always,
forever young, and forever on

There’s a distance to go from here,
there’s never the weight of the world we fear,
I’ll be with you and right beside,
ever wrong and through the night

And all signs are surfacing now again on your mind more
Don’t turn around we’re going one way,
the time is right we’re going home,
And now you’re in my mind always, forever young, and forever on

Don’t turn around we’re going one way,
the time is right we’re going home,
And now you’re in my mind always,
forever young, and forever on

Don’t turn around we’re going one way,
the time is right we’re going home,
And now you’re in my mind always,
forever young, and forever on
Writer(s): Anthony Hewitt, Emma Hewitt, Claus Terhoeven

Without exception, this song is the one which hits me the most.

There is a place that we call home, but we have forgotten where it is, how to get there, and even who we are. We are wanderers in the seeming endless space of the universe, uncertain what our ultimate purpose is.

There is in uneasiness in all of us that can never be quite erased. There is a squeezing feeling that we not earth children, but seem to wander in a universe that appears cold and uninhabitable. Somehow, this new generation has a built-in sensor that allows them to understand that this is not the life we used to have, in our native home. How can we have an urge for freedom that is unknown to us? So this longing in us must have a past associated with it that we are simply not remembering. We cannot long for unknown experience, but we can only long for an experience that has some reality in our mind, but with the detail being forgotten. This state we long for is called peace of mind.

Besides Above and Beyond whose lyrics are second to none as it relates to spiritual expressions,

Axwell has a repertoire of spiritual channeled song lyrics that remind me of praise songs. Axwell’s lyrics are however advanced and direct. His remix of,  “In my Mind” clearly shows that there is knowledge that we are all in the Mind, that’s where we originated from and that is where we are always. In the Mind, one mind is in every Mind and every Mind is One.

These lyrics are self-explanatory. I won the bet against myself. The first time we heard this song, and subsequently saw the Sick Individuals at the INTL in Scottsdale, I had no doubt that Axwell had his writing hands in this. No one other than Axwell can play music that more closely resemble worship hymns.

The lyrics of many Axwell songs are today’s version of praise songs throughout several major religions.

Sick Individuals & Axwell ft. Taylr Renee – I Am

On your feet my friend
Run, they’re closing in
Follow me for protection (for protection)
Keeping you safe from destruction
I am the one who’s sent to save you
I can replenish what they’ve taken from you
The one who’s sent to save you

 On your feet my friend
Run, they’re closing in
I am the one who’s sent to save you
I can replenish what they’ve taken from you

The one who’s sent to save you
I am the one who’s sent to save you
I can replenish what they’ve taken from you

There is so much more to EDM than it appears. It makes people happy, it unites people, and it spreads the message of Love. How many people are going to EDM festivals every year? Millions. It gives Millions of people the peace of mind they are looking for.

We wholeheartedly believe that there is just one reason for us to have this human experience, and it is to be happy! What keeps us from being happy? We will answer this question in another post. But to give you a hint: It is guilt that prevents us from always being happy and we are projecting our guilt unto not only others but also to our body which ages in the same relation to our guilt.

Until we publish about what keeps up bound in this existence, until then we do what makes us happy:  let’s dance!

We would do “anything” to be able to go from festival to festival, work in some capacity, and then dance our heart(s) out!

PLUR Warrior or PLUR Worrier

Are you a PLUR Warrior or a PLUR Worrier?

This blog will change you from being a worrier to a being a warrior in 4 simple steps. Do you know if you are a worrier or if you are a warrior?

How do you see the world? How do you see yourself and others? Do you see peace or war? Do you see Love or hate? What are you afraid of?  Do you perceive more union or more separation? Do you respect others; I mean everyone or only selected groups? Do you accept everything that you perceive, I mean everything. Do you trust others? On what does your mind spend its time? Where are your thoughts? In the past, present or future?

Every answer requires a decision and each decision is a judgment and this judgment is based on how we perceive in the world. The external often becomes the driver for decisions, the past determines the future by acting on it in the present and that is the MO of the PLUR Worrier.

How can we keep up and deepen our PLUR lifestyle when the only constant that each second has is that of a change? Many resist change at all costs? Are you one of them or do you embrace change to the fullest? Or are you resisting change but pretend to be someone who embraces change?

We like change when it brings us something that we want or desire, when my expectations of this moment are met in some form that appears pleasing to me. In contrast, we will not embrace change if it leads to a perceived loss of some kind.   This is however setting the PLURworrier up for failure for the following reasons:

Repeating Past Failures

The PLURWorrier uses the past for the basis to predict the future. This is common practice in business. The difference is not always obvious.  Let’s take revenue projections in which historical facts are used to predict the future. At least one side of the equation is based on facts, while a person’s memory of past events is anything but accurate. In addition, the subjectivity in which the past is seen, is very likely distorted, up to 80% according to a psychological study. The premise is already based on a faulty perception, any added projections can only be further reducing the chance of a future occurrence. This includes the inaccuracy of events, particularly those that imprinted a negative memory.

Example: you hang out with your friends on Friday night and you always meet them at 11pm at a certain place. All but one are on time. Dave is always at least 15 min late. That is what you think about Dave, Dave has become the symbol for being late. Hence, that is what your eyes will seek out to confirm your expectations. . The past is always a grossly distorted lens that always will remember us in such a way that confirms our position. You will overlook that Dave is on time and only register when he is not. Why? The constant judgment stemming from past experiences is that Dave is late, even when he is not.

By projecting the past into the future, the only time in which change can occur is skipped, which is the NOW. Only if the PLURwarrior lets go of the perception of Dave to be always late, he will experience that Dave is now on time, although he is still arriving late. The change of mind of the PLURWorrier, releasing his judgment, also took away the need to have Dave’s tardiness being experienced.

And what is the connection to PLUR?

Very simple, Peace, Love, Unity, Respect cannot happen to a mind that is mentally distracted with worries which are increasing as time goes by without resolutions. Worries are based on fear and fear binds the minds in chains by keeping it in a constant state of uncertainty. The external world is seen as unpredictable which requires constant attention. Goals that were set are reevaluated and adjusted if fear increases a condition that is based on subjective perceptions which are distorted. This is a negative feedback loop. Since all actions are based on fear, only fear can arise from it. Fear cannot be turned into trust by evaluating and analyzing the fear. This sounds illogical but it is not. Take this example.

Fritz has a fear of flying. Fritz knows very well that the chance of crashing in a commercial airliner is next to impossible and so much safer than driving, but that does not change him to a happy flyer. The fear sits deeper.

Steps to become a PLURWarrior

In any situation in which we are uncertain, the first thing to consider is,

  1. What do I want to come of this? What is it for? Why am I doing this?”
The intend of the goal belongs at the beginning, for it is this which will determine the outcome.
  1. From belief to conviction to certainty
The PLURWarrior knows that the goals will be achieved regardless of the road condition that lead to its fulfillment. Faith turns from the unknown to the known, switching it from potential to certainty.
  1. Don’t sweat the road conditions
Now that the goal has been set with the mind of the warrior being in absolute certainty of its fulfillment, will deal with any obstacle that comes between the goal and its achievement in a constructive way since he knows that this is the way to achieve the goal. It is the conviction of the achieving the goal which drives the removal of the obstacles.
  1. Achievement & Sharing
the PLURwarrior does not brag about his accomplishments as they are second nature to him. In fact, the warrior devotes much of the time to help others to achieve their goals. Helping others becomes the motivation to continue on the road to success because the mind of the warrior is open to sharing knowing that its own power ultimately comes from the support he receives through the sharing of thoughts and ideas that lead him to success.

In the worrier’s procedure, everything is reversed. The situation becomes the determiner of the outcome, which can be anything. The reason for this disorganized approach is evident. The worrier does not know what it wants to come of it. It is aware of what it does not want, but only that. It has no positive goal at all.

Constant check points, particularly in the presence of obstacles, are leading to re-evaluations of potential outcomes which often lead to endless battles with the encountered obstacles without ever achieving a feeling of success. Most of the times the worrier gives up the fuzzy goals, best case, the fuzzy goals are changed and the loop starts over with history repeating itself yet again.

Beautiful Now

The most significant loss the worrier has is the loss of the Beautiful Now. It is lost in dreams of fear. Research has shown that worries are exaggerated by 80-90%, or we call it making a mouse of an elephant. Think about what is really being done in the present, replacing the NOW:

The lower mind, let’s call it ego (different than Freud), creates a mental story of one potential outcome of a situation, describes it in all its glorious detail so distorted that is mere fantasy, meaning it will never happen, and then on top of it tells you that you should reside in fear until this is all over. Once given into this illusion the worrier will receive a personal notification from the ego reminding him of his impending doom.

This little ego told a lie and the worrier bought it. That is what really happened. If you look at a situation more objectively you might be able to see through the egos first defense, which is the exaggeration, the illusionary part of it.

The second is hidden and represents the core of denial of the worrier heart. You cannot fear anything that has not happened yet particularly not the small stuff anyway which is 99% of worriers’ content. Here is why:

If you could worry now about a future event, then you would always be running around in fear because there is a thing people believe in which is called death, which seems to hit most people and if you could fear little things because death is further out then this is not what happens. Death could hit you anytime but that is not your dread. That is not the root cause of the worrier, it can’t be. The root cause is to keep the NOW out, because it is Love that one finds here and peace, all united as One.

We are afraid of being rejected down the road in a situation we are worried about. What we are doing is feeling the future rejection NOW, all by our own choice. That is crazy isn’t it? We could choose to be happy right now but we rather indulge in something that makes us feel miserable.

Now the worrier knows he has a choice. Go out worrier and view the world change in front of your eyes into One of peace and love. Now you are a PLUR warrior!

Go out worrier and see how the world will change in front of your eyes into One of peace and love.

Now you are a PLUR warrior!

What EDM means to us

Music has become a domineering physical, mental and spiritual force inside of us for the past 3-4 years since we changed from occasional oldies and classic rock to EDM.

We were on a spiritual path, seeking for Truth, however, not for religion. For the past 35 years I am a student of a book called, “A Course in Miracles” which tells us that the world is an illusion, just like so many eastern belief systems already point out, and that we literally have everything upside down here from true reality. Listen to: Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike “Tales of Tomorrow”.

It says that we are in a dream and our sole purpose in this seeming incarnation is to wake up from the dream for us to then realize that we in reality where we have always been, being One with our Source.

This source is nothing but pure Love, making sin and guilt the only unjustified reason that we are still here. It teaches us to get rid of sin, guilt,  and  punishment as concepts of mad people who look to brainwash themselves by blaming others for their mistakes, which they call sins. Sins, per definition, are eternal and cannot be undone. Now this is hogwash,  but all of us were raised in one form or another to believe this nonsense.

Playlist – The Illusion of Separation

With this in mind, we found with EDM beautiful songs and sounds, with lyrics which fit perfectly with our belief systems. Axwell’s, “Leave the World Behind,” “Save the World,” “Nothing but Love,” and Morgan Page’s, “Open Heart” are just one of many songs which have lyrics that are literally out of this world and are more than soothing to the soul.

We noticed that when we started to dance to an EDM playlist, we were going into a natural trance-like (pun intended) state in which all problems of the day somehow vanished, but also did not come back when we stopped the dancing. The music not only gave us energy, but kept our moods above the frown level. We have integrated dancing to EDM music,  much like Islamic Sufis and other groups which  emphasize music,  as part of our own spiritual activities.

So we started to do this on a nightly basis, dancing for an hour, and sometimes 2, to electronic dance music, which lately has mostly been to an entire live set on YouTube. We feel we are mentally bonding with the hundreds of  thousands of people that are shown in the crowd of  these live sets. Above and Beyond calls their weekly music mix release: Group Therapy, and that is what it is! Our energies are merging with all of  those around the world who are  doing the same thing, dancing to upbeat music with beautiful lyrics, a literal joining of  minds that are thinking positive thoughts and are listening to the same set at one point or another.

In summary: music is more than important to us. It has become the outward manifestation of celebrating that we are homeward bound, that there is never anything to worry about, and that everything will eventually merge into a Power Surge of Love which will enable us to see that we are truly One Mind, just separated into billions of little “Is,” “me, me, mes”, and egos, and are slowly waking up.

Here are tracks that helped us through rougher times. These songs were catalysts for change.

We are One

We are One!

The terms We are One, One Love, Oneness and Unity were music to our mental ears when attending our first electronic music festival ever at age 60 and 57 at EDC in Las Vegas. And over the following three nights this was exactly what we experienced.

The music by itself can put us within a few seconds from misery to bliss by letting go and let the music take us each hour or so, with every DJ, on a different journey, one we experience as the removal of mental barriers of happiness, which includes all thoughts that in any shape or form related to the past, or the future, and what remains is the Beautiful Now.

Often did we ask ourselves what each of the festival attendee understanding is of “We Are One”. I always like to ask each person what do you mean? The most common answer is that we are all connected and that all of us want what the acronym PLUR stands for. Peace, Love, Unity and Respect. Some say PLUR is a movement, a life style, some say it alive, others say it’s dead.

PLUR is not dead. It is alive in every person that has open heart and decides that peace, love, unity and respect are part of her or his dealings with others. Let’s tie PLUR to a Oneness concept that is all encompassing.

Let’s start with Love. Love for us is not a concept, it is Reality. How can Love be Reality with all the fighting in the world, with all its conflicts?

Love is One. It is absolute and has no opposite. It also has to be 100% Love and cannot contain anything that is not loving, otherwise Love’s meaning is lost. If we would not perceive anything but Love we would feel peaceful, no doubt about that.

Peace can only exist in a mind where Love has entered and made a home for itself. What is there to fear when we have nothing but love inside of us? Nothing!

Unity is the outcome of Love which provides us with a peace of Mind. Respect though is different. It becomes a pre-requisite for Love to enter and stay in ones mind. Respecting others for whatever they might think differently to ones own belief means to not judge anything that is perceived as external to oneself, because if a person judges, the bar is set and limit is imposed on what is acceptable and what is not, and regardless of the boundaries of acceptability, fear will sooner or later arise because Love was limited.

We have to respect and accept everything and everyone because it is judgment with its many forms that interrupt the flow of Love, its positive vibrations are being shut off at the moment an unloving thought crosses the mirror of the mind. Regardless of the severity of the act we are judging, in someone else or us, it will inevitably cut off the supply of Love and its seeming opposite raises its ugly head.. We can call it anger, upset, disappointment, hate, etc. all of them are expression of fear, ultimately the fear that Love has abandoned us or that we have abandoned love.

In the end we actually think we are upset about what robbed us our peace, not realizing that we really have gotten upset about losing Love, being jolted out of the Now.

Love has to be extended, not interrupted. Music is the perfect way to illustrate extensions vs. interruptions. Let’s take Tiesto’s Secret. The song has a certain melody and certain lyrics. Don Diablo and Diplo decided to take the same melody and lyrics but changed the rhythm to be closer to their style. Folks who would not have listened to Tiesto will be able to hear it because they love Diplo’s style. So the reach of the song has increased and bottom line it has brought joy to more people as if the song was only published by Tiesto. This is extending.

Extending Love will increase your vibrational patterns that are in unison with other like minded and that is the reason why we are High on the festival for even some time after the festival ended because the vibrations are stored in our memory banks like food that slowly is getting processed after intake.

How do we overlook when being judged by others? Very simple, if we believe We are One, then there is nothing and nobody else, so all judgments are ultimately judgments against oneself, because there is just One Self, that has seemingly split into trillions of pieces (minds).

This remind us of the video of Galantis Runaway where it’s said that those who are looking for Love always meet themselves. That is so correct. if you feel judged, then realize it must be a part of you that you don’t want to face yet your own seeming wrong doings. Accepting what appears unacceptable is the way out of these uncomfortable feelings we call guilt. Overlooking errors in others shows that we have relinquished the guilt we carried around for doing similar transgressions.

Love is One. We are One. So we must be Love, but have forgotten!

Here is our ONE Playlist! Dance and Enjoy!
